Case 1. Mobile application for Android

Mobile application for 10 000+ employees of rzd-ts.ru (managers, engineers, support and other groups of people), where employees can track vacation schedules, find contacts, chat, monitoring of requests, the ability to write off time and gasoline and other expenses to fulfill requests. Reports and dashboard with key company metrics are available for managers.

My tasks in the product

• Designing from 0 a mobile application for company employees, similar in functionality to the web portal and the main company website.
• Creating a design system for all designed products.
• Thought through how the interface could scale as the web portal evolved.
• Conducted interviews and usability testing with company employees who will use the future product.
• Interacted with Product Owner and heads of different departments to identify key functional needs.
• Interacted with front-end and back-end developers.
• Conducted design reviews on testbeds with front-ends prior to release after handing over mockups and implementation.
• Presented and defended their solutions to executives.

Problems encountered and their solutions

Problem: high volume for MVP stage and rather tight deadlines.

Solution: analyzed all the sections, supported the information with research with the company's employees - how often they are used by certain groups of people, which functionality is critical and which is not, and whether we need it at the first stage. I decomposed it into small tasks in order to propose improvements in this or that functionality on a point-by-point basis.
